Following the amendment to the Annual Vacation law – 1951, please note the following:
- Article 3 of the Annual Vacation law, defines the amount of vacation days that each employee is entailed to. I.e. currently an employee who is working 5 days per week, (Sunday to Thursday, weekends are excluded), is entitled to 10 days of annual vacation after the amendment.
- However, within the framework of the amendment any employee who has been working for a certain employer for less than 4 years, shall be entitled to additional annual vacation days, as follows:
- Starting from the 1st of July 2016 and until the 31st of December 2016 an employee who has been working for a certain employer for less than 4 year and for 5 days per week, shall be entitled to 11 days of vacation;
- As from the 1st of January 2017 an employee who has been working for a certain employer for less than 4 year and for 5 days per week, shall be entitled to 12 days of vacation.
- Please note that the above-mentioned information shall not apply to employees who have been working for a certain employer for a duration of more than 4 years.
